Roses - Haiku, music and performance

This afternoon we were introduced to the Japanese festival of Hanami, which is the cherry blossom festival. We discovered Hanami means "flower viewing" in Japanese. The custom of Hanami is more than a thousand years old. It is still very popular in Japan. Hanami takes place in the spring when the  cherry blossoms. Roses children then wrote lists of words to describe the blossom on trees and shared them as a class.
