Roses have been learning to play Roman motifs to accompany a Roman song that they have been learning to perform. They have been learning to adjust pitch, duration, tempo and learning to read appropriate musical notations. I hope you enjoy their Roman performance! Bluebells have been exploring and identifying different tempos whilst keeping a steady beat to a variety of different pieces of music.Today, we were exploring ragtime and listening to works by Scott Joplin. We also identified syncopated rhythms from extracts of the Jungle books.

We have been learning to play our instruments. To improve our performance we have been thinking about taking it in turns to play and building our piece to have rhythm and dynamics. As our composition is for a superhero theme tune it increases in tempo, and we build our rhythm and melodic structure.
