This afternoon we recapped our previous learning about Brahman (God, Ultimate Reality) and atman (eternal self). We discussed how Hinduism is very diverse, and so there is hardly anything that we can say ‘all Hindus believe …’ However, the ideas of dharma, karma, samsara and moksha are commonly held, although described in a range of ways. We made notes whilst watching an introductory video, and presented them.

This afternoon the children in Shamrocks have been completing their research about the religions of the world. They have used their creativity to share what they have found and the results are beautiful! Across the school the children explored Faiths around the world. Bluebells explored patterns in Mosques, Daffodils explored the Five Pillars of Islam and both Roses and Shamrocks children explored the Five main religions across the world. This produced a wonderful collection of work throughout the classes. |
