Welcome Coral the clown fish!

4/20/2023

Meet “Coral” – our latest project to help save the environment!
The Ironworks is loaning out this wonderful, colourful clown fish to Morda Primary school to help reduce waste entering our environment, and eventually our oceans. With fish and ocean mammals living in increasingly deteriorating habitats, it is our duty to step in and prioritise the reduction of plastics entering our natural world. Our collected packets will be donated to organisations who can put them to good use (for instance, turning them into survival blankets for the homeless).

How can we recycle more at Morda Primary school?

1/30/2023

We welcomed Angela from Veolia, into our assembly today, to discuss recycling at home. The eco committee met with her after the assembly to discuss what we can do in school to recycle more. We now have a brand new compost bin and will receive various bins to make sure we recycle more in school.

The Queen's green canopy

As part of the Queen's jubilee celebrations, we took part in planting a tree for the Queen's green canopy. You can find our trees on the map https://queensgreencanopy.org/map-education-hub/qgc-map/#/

The Queens green canopy

As part of the jubilee celebrations we bought two fruit trees. We found out that trees need to be planted between October and November. So, today we planted the trees in Mary's garden and registered with the Queen's green canopy https://queensgreencanopy.org/
