Sports Round-Up From Flo The PE Queen

Silver in the Mixed Years 3/4 Football 17th October at The Marches.

Squad: Eben Jones (Capt), Emilie McTweed, Erin Barton, Millie Barton, Kevin Nitran, Tommy McKinney, Alastair Pengelly, Jack Miller and Morgan Rose.

2nd Overall - Played 4 games in the groups section coming top of the group.  Won 3 and drew 1. 2nd round - Played 4 games and Won 3 and lost 1. The game that they lost was 1-0 to Woodside who went on to win the tournament. Well done!

Great Placing for Morda at Cross Country Running - 3rd and 16th October at The Marches

Both rounds were very tough as the field was wet and muddy.  There were over 90 runners in the Yr 3/4 race

Yrs 3/4 Boys: Finley Jones - 3rd (Yr 3), Jack Miller 6th (Yr 4), Max and Lucas both improved their placing from last run.

Yrs 3/4 Girls: Cora Jones and Emilie McTweed both improved their positions from the first round.  There were over 80 runners in the girls Yrs 3/4 race.

Yrs 5/6 Boys:  Rhes Morris improved his position in the second race from 7th to 4th. Timmy Nitran competed for the first time and came 21st. Jenson McArdle with 8th in the first race but didn't compete in the second race as he had selection for the North Shropshire Football Squad in Market Drayton.

Yrs 5/6 Girls: Niamh Jones finished 12th in the first race and 8th in the second race.  Megan Griffiths, Bethan Miller and Lillie Shrimpton and Logan Darbyshire all ran great races in difficult conditions.

The next two round are in the Spring Term. Brilliant work by our dedicated runners!

Oswestry Rugby Club World Record.

Alastair and Thomas Pengelly took part in a rugby world record for the most amount of players taking part in a skills training session at Oswestry Rugby Club.  There were over 1000 players taking part.  The previous world record was held by a club in Japan. Great Job Boys!
