Our class novel has been Attack of the Vikings by Tony Bradman. It has been gripping, with plenty of opportunity to discuss our school values of fairness, compassion and courage. Towards the end of the story, we reflected where and when some of the key characters had shown these qualities.

We discussed our basic needs for food and shelter, our need for family and friendship and the extras, which bring us joy and motivation.

We talked about communities today and the places that there are in Morda and Oswestry where communities gather and support each other. The children then created maps of their own imaginary towns, showing different communities.
