Welcome to the Daffodils class 2025 - 2026

What a busy start to the school year in Daffodils!

We have enjoyed settling in to our class routine and exploring our classroom.
PE will be every Tuesday and Thursday where we will be learning new football skills, athletics and fitness.
Daffodils have been visiting forest school on a Friday afternoon, exploring and playing!
Our topic this half term is all about Ernest Shackleton and his expedition to the Antarctic. Through Mantle of the Expert we will be writing a letter and a story all about Ernest Shackleton's expedition. In science, we are finding out about everyday materials and their uses. Is metal a good material for a jumper? What about car made out of cardboard?
In maths, we will be focusing on number and place value, beginning to add and subtract. In RE we have started to discuss what the bible is and what Christians believe God to be.
