CLEVER NEVER GOES is the new campaign that teaches children how to stay safe from abduction whether they are outside or online. It’s the modern, child-friendly alternative to the out-dated and fundamentally flawed ‘Stranger Danger’ message. Rather than fearing the worst in everyone they don’t know, Clever Never Goes helps children to recognise specific situations that are unsafe and gives them the tools to respond.
All children attended an assembly today, Thursday 29th September, to launch the campaign. For more information and activities that can be shared at home with your child click the link below:

Come and join us for a 2 hour workshop: Tuesday 4th October 2022 1 - 3pm Whittington primary school To book a place: Email: [email protected] Or call the school office on: 01691 662269 Yesterday two Morda pupils, Aaron Hart and Artemis Morris, represented Morda Primary School at the Queen's commemoration service at St Oswald's Church Oswestry. They made us very proud as they read the beautiful tributes they had written. We hope you will enjoy reading them as we pay tribute to HRH Queen Elizabeth II on this her funeral day.
Warmest welcome back to Morda and a big hello to all those new children in the reception class.
It has been wonderful to see how well the children have settled in to their new classes and begun their learning this week. We were all of course shocked and deeply saddened by the announcement of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday evening. There was a special assembly on Friday morning to mark her passing where we looked back at all her years of service and devotion to the country and the church and had a minutes silence. We are very mindful that children need to make sense of this period of national mourning and we are working carefully following Mental Health Lead and DFE guidance to ensure we deal sensitively and appropriately during this period. We very much look forward to the year ahead and seeing our Morda children grow and flourish with Courage Compassion and Fairness. Kindest Regards John and Helen |
