Today, we have been finding biblical texts and using theological terms explore what they teach us about God. We have been exploring images to show the attributes attributed to God. Using desktop publishing, we have created and explored appropriate text and images to record our ideas. These are some of the images that we used to describe Christians relationships with God.

Over the last two lessons we have been choosing appropriate painting tools to recreate paintings by a given artist. We have also been evaluating which tools are useful and why. Kandinsky and Matisse have inspired our Art work. Can you guess which artist inspired each painting?Using the following passage from the Bible, Genesis 6:5–9:17, children have explored the covenant made between Noah and God. They then thought about techniques Noah would have used to make the Ark for the family and the animals to travel in. Using techniques to alter text by changing the font, colour and size, children have started to create a PowerPoint about Noah and his Ark.
Today, we have been looking at what makes people good or bad? We identified famous people from now and in the past and what makes them good or bad? We then thought about how religions influences their decisions and what is a belief system which does not have a divine ruler?
We then identified what rules we think benefit our school community. In this term’s unit of work, we are going to be trying to understand: What does it mean if Christians believe God is holy and loving? We shall be learning what it means to be holy - as linked with God - and what it means to be loving - as linked with God. We learnt to identify a self-created god’s power, character, actions. Some of us understand what omnipotent, omniscient and eternal mean and can relate them to a god.
