This afternoon we discussed how charities care for others and how people can support them. We could name lots of local charities such as Os Nosh, Hope House, Nightingale House and the food bank. Cara said that Os Nosh helps to feed local people who might be struggling with the cost of living, and Albie told us all about Hope House, how it looks after poorly children and gives them nice experiences. Kai thought about Children in Need, and Alan said that charity looks after children too, and they have a teddy bear as a symbol. We then went into groups to research some charities, looking for what they do and why people might donate to them.
