Our lovely Forest School was very cold and 'wintery' today. The starlings were noisy, all trying to roost together and share their warmth with each other. We took a walk around to find interesting grasses and seed heads, brown shrivelled up leaves or twigs and anything that would suit our Christmas bouquet. We had a variety of cones to pick from - Norway Spruce, Larch, Scots Pine. They had a lovely 'evergreen' pine smell. We arranged our bouquet into a glass jar and added the finishing touches with sparkly wool, pipe cleaners and Christmas baubles. Maybe we could go into the floristry business?
