5/12/23 Winter is here...

Our lovely Forest School was very cold and 'wintery' today. The starlings were noisy, all trying to roost together and share their warmth with each other. We took a walk around to find interesting grasses and seed heads, brown shrivelled up leaves or twigs and anything that would suit our Christmas bouquet.

We had a variety of cones to pick from - Norway Spruce, Larch, Scots Pine. They had a lovely 'evergreen' pine smell. We arranged our bouquet into a glass jar and added the finishing touches with sparkly wool, pipe cleaners and Christmas baubles. Maybe we could go into the floristry business?
