We checked out which minibeasts we could find living in our Forest School habitat. We had minibeast collection pots with a magnifying glass lid. We could look at the minibeasts in detail. We found beetles, snails, woodlice, spiders, ants, aphids, worms, larvae and slugs. Many of the minibeasts have their own microhabitat e.g. the woodlice like to live underneath rotting logs in darkness.
Our most interesting find was a ladybird larvae - some of our insects have an amazing lifecycle!
