We hung up our beautiful ice decorations that we made in Forest School a couple of weeks ago. The decorations were really pretty and the natural colours matched the environment perfectly. As the ice melted, the colours became brighter. We know that eventually the decorations will disappear altogether, but that fits in with our class motto to 'do simple things to save our planet'! They were free to make, we used recycled tin foil containers to contain the decorations - no plastic involved! They were slippery and freezing to hold - but we loved that! Secret Santa had hidden some envelopes up in the Forest School patch. Everyone had to find an envelope - it took a while as there were 30 to find! We opened our envelopes in turn to see who Santa had remembered. Good job he has a fabulous memory.
We finished the session with some very energetic sliding, bouncing, running, hiding and exploring! What a fantastic afternoon! Hot Chocolate treat tomorrow Daffodils!
