Into the Woods - Recognising the signs of Spring

We went out to the Forest School area to look for signs that Spring is here.  It was quite a warm, sunny afternoon and very dry underfoot.  

The children found catkins, blue speedwell, dandelions, buds on the trees, blossom, pale yellow primroses and pink primulas and a few narcissus.  We used our guide books to Britain's flowering plants to identify some of the flowers.
