Let the canal clean up begin!

After writing letters to the city council, we received a reply saying that we could go ahead and begin cleaning up the canal. It was a huge job, we cleared the water of rubbish and checked for wildlife, luckily, some animals were saved. The canal had to be drained because it was so polluted.

Disaster struck! After constructing a dam, a leak appeared further down the canal which caused a sink hole! We had to work quickly to prevent the water from leaking into the river.
