What a wonderful time we have had at Llanymynech heritage area and canal! To enhance our learning about canals, we spent time by the canal spotting wildlife and finding out the importance of the canal system and comparing it to the canal system in Liverpool. We even got to see some frog and toad spawn! Some of us were lucky enough to have a look inside a canal boat. In the heritage area, we went on a wildlife walk to see if we could see any small mammals. We discovered a vole and shew, we could tell which was which by the shape of their noses! We rolled down hills and paddled in the stream. When we were inside the kiln, we could hear our echoes! Time for our picnic..... Can you find the hidden Easter eggs? Some environmental art using clay and whatever we could find around us! What a fantastic day!
