History - The 1960'sTo complete our history topic on 'the 1960's' we visited The Beatles museum in the Albert docks. It enabled us to consolidate all of our learning and be able to become immersed in the 1960's popular culture. We were able to make links from our learning to the exhibitions and activities. We even dressed up as the Beatles and played in the famous Cavern bar! Geography - LiverpoolTo introduce our geography topic, we explored part of the city of Liverpool. We focused on the Albert docks area and the canal system around Liverpool. We also visited the iconic Liver building and Cunard building. We looked around the skyline of the city and compared new and old buildings sitting side by side. We even spotted the old cathedral and new cathedral. To enhance our learning on the canal system, we visited the museum of Liverpool and looked at how, throughout history, the canal system has changed. Our trip has been a wonderful introduction to Liverpool, but more importantly, despite the rain, we had a brilliant time and so much fun!
