It is that time of year again that comes around far too quickly; saying goodbye to our Year 6 leavers. Himalayas have been fantastic and have done you all proud. Well done to Joel and Logan, who both share the Nathan Price Award; Jewels, who won the David Evans Award and Ala, who won the Anna Griggs Maths Award. I have loved every minute with all my class and I am so very proud of each and every one of them! Good luck for the future year 6! Hope you all have a lovely summer!!!!!!! Mr D

We learnt about the Lindisfarne raid that happened on the 8th June 793AD. We used drama to help with our first-person narratives, writing as the monks. The following week we wrote the narrative from the point of view of the Vikings. The children loved it and created some wonderful written pieces of work. Viking Burial! We acted out what we thought a Viking burial would look like based on historical evidence and theories. As a class we have been discussing our rights inside and outside of school. We have had some intellectual discussions about discrimination and how this can impact on the lives of those who have been discriminated against.
