PSHE Week 4 - Democracy

In Shamrocks we discussed what is meant by Democracy - rule by the people!

In a democracy, like the UK, the people elect the government and have a say in how it is run.
They do this by voting in elections.
We watched some videos on how elections are held and run and discussed Morda School Council's election process. 

The children discussed what the role of school council president involved and what skills they needed to become a successful school council president. 

The children thought about whether they would like the role of School Council president and whether they were going to run for President!
