We have had a fantastic start to the year with all the children working extremely hard in class. We have already written our first piece of writing in literacy and to say they have impressed me is an understatement. 

This half term the children will be learning about the Ancient Greeks in History; forces in science; Michelle Reader, an artist who recycles to create sculptures, in art (Please send in your recycling) and our class book is Percy Jackson and the lightning thief.

The children have discussed and created our class display based on our school values: Compassion, Fairness and Courage. We also looked at how we can have a growth mindset in the up and coming year to help with our learning and achieving our very best by overcoming challenges. We have also spoken about our emotions and how this can impact our learning and friendships and how we can manage these emotions in the best possible way.
