19.01.22 - Online Safety - Friends/Acquaintances/People Online

Today, we looked at the difference between a friend and an acquaintance. We took a survey to see what information we would share with a friend/acquaintance or someone online. The class discussed their thoughts about the findings of the survey and learnt that we have to be careful not to share sensitive information and personal pictures to strangers online or whilst gaming or texting. We also discussed that anything posted on the internet or in a message is very difficult to delete; so we should consider the acronym THINK.

The Children were shown the BBC app 'Own IT' that can help with THINK and be better online.
