We considered and discussed how we feel and act when we are in the four different zones of emotions then considered what strategies might support each of us when we are experiencing emotions from each of the four zones.
We discussed how these actions and strategies would look different for each of us and how some people escalate into and out of the yellow and red zone quicker than others. We also discussed how some children find it difficult to show when they are moving through the zones. We talked about how we can be aware of our own zones and the zones other people around us may be in and how we can help ourselves and each other when we're experiencing the blue, yellow or red zones in school: how we can be compassionate class mates.
